Do I need a whole new kitchen?
Often not. If the carcasses are sound, new fronts and hardware transform it cheaply. We will tell you which you have.
Kitchen cabinets, built-ins and storage for New London — built to fit the opening you actually have, and fitted by the people who built them.
A good many kitchens do not need replacing. Where the carcasses are solid and sound, it is the doors, drawer runners, handles and finish that have had their day, and new fronts with proper hardware and a refinish gets a different kitchen for a fraction of a rebuild.
Where the carcass material itself has gone — and once water is into particle board, it has — new fronts on a failing box is money thrown away. Telling those apart takes five minutes standing in the kitchen, and we will say plainly which you have, including when it is the cheap answer.

Factory cabinets come in fixed widths in three-inch steps and assume square walls and standard heights. Older houses do not oblige, and you end up with filler strips, a corner nobody can reach into and inches of wall doing nothing. Building to the actual opening removes all of it.
What we build uses plywood carcasses rather than particle board, jointed drawer boxes rather than stapled ones, and runners rated for real loads.

Mud rooms with hooks, boot benches and somewhere for wet coats. Pantry runs deep enough to be useful. Laundry cabinetry. Built-in desks. Window seats with storage under. Bookcases fitted into an alcove. Barn, garage and workshop storage built to hold weight rather than to look tidy.

There is no requirement to do everything at once. Plenty of jobs get done in stages — the failing run this year, the pantry next. Tell us that is the plan and it gets built so the later stages match the earlier ones rather than looking like an add-on.

Yes, and it is common. Say so at the start and the later stages will match.
That is the point of having them made. The out-of-square gets measured and built in.
About twenty minutes, which means a return visit during a fitting job costs nothing.
A phone picture is plenty. We will tell you what it needs, what it will cost and roughly how long it will take — before you commit to anything.
