Can you build to a budget?
Usually. Tell us the number at the start — there is more than one way to build most things, and knowing the budget lets us pick the version that fits it.
Tables, benches, beds and shelving built to measure for Big Sandy — built simply, built solidly, and built so they can be repaired rather than replaced.
Not everything needs to be elaborate. A great deal of the best furniture ever made in East Texas was plain — a straight table in solid timber, a bench that seats five, shelving that holds what you put on it. Made properly, those pieces last generations and cost less than the ornate version.
That is most of what we build for this area, and it is not a compromise. Simple joinery done well outlasts complicated joinery done quickly, and it is easier to repair in twenty years' time.

Everything we make is put together so it can be taken apart and repaired rather than thrown away. A joint that can be re-glued is the difference between a piece that lasts a decade and one that lasts a lifetime. That is worth more than any amount of decoration.

Dining and farmhouse tables. Benches, which seat more people than chairs and cost less. Bed frames. Blanket chests. Bookcases and shelving. Coffee tables. Children's step stools. Plant stands. Kitchen islands. Feed, tack and workshop storage. Church and hall furniture, which comes up steadily in a town this size.

It genuinely helps to tell us at the start. There is usually more than one way to build a thing, and knowing the number lets us pick the version that fits it — a different timber, a simpler leg, an oil finish instead of a lacquered one. That is a better conversation than being quoted something you were never going to spend.
With a measurement and an idea, and a photograph of the space if there is one. Then timber, finish, price and timing, and nothing is cut until you have a real number. Big Sandy is about thirty minutes from the shop and we deliver and install.

Yes, and we install. About thirty minutes from the Kilgore shop.
Yes. Communion tables, lecterns, pew repairs and hall tables, quoted plainly.
Pine, oak and cedar most often, and reclaimed timber when a piece calls for it.
The shop is in Kilgore and we travel from here — as far as Lufkin when the job is worth the drive.
A phone picture is plenty. We will tell you what it needs, what it will cost and roughly how long it will take — before you commit to anything.
