Can you match a piece I bought in Gladewater?
We will get close and tell you honestly how close. An exact match to an aged finish is not something to promise.
Tables, benches, beds and shelving built to your measurements — including pieces made to sit alongside the antiques people buy in Gladewater.
Gladewater's antique trade is the reason people come here, and the frustration everybody who shops it knows is this: the right piece exists, but not in the right size. The farmhouse table is beautiful and eighteen inches too short. The sideboard fits the wall but not the alcove. The set is four chairs and you need six.
Building the missing piece solves it. A table made to the length the room takes, in a timber and finish chosen to sit beside what you already own, does the job the antique could not. It is also usually cheaper than the antique, which surprises people.

Bring a photograph, or better, bring the piece. We will talk about timber, profile and finish and get as close as honesty allows. An exact match to a hundred-year-old finish is not something anyone should promise — the timber has aged, the original stain has moved, and a fresh piece will always be a shade newer. We will tell you plainly how close we expect to get before you commit.
Sometimes the better answer is not to match at all. A deliberately different piece in a complementary timber often sits more comfortably next to genuine antiques than a near-miss reproduction does.

There is a second kind of custom work in a town like this, and it is not domestic. Dealers need display — shelving to a booth's exact footprint, low tables to stand stock on, plinths, and racks that hold weight without looking like warehouse fittings. A booth that displays well takes more money, and floor space here is not free.

Grace Woodwork is several people. A set of six chairs does not take six times as long as one, a whole booth fit-out does not sit waiting on one person, and a larger order is a job we can take rather than one we have to turn away.

With a measurement and an idea, and a photograph of anything it has to live next to. From there we talk timber, finish, price and timing, and nothing is cut until you have a real number. Gladewater is about fifteen minutes from the shop, so delivery and installation is easy.

Yes — display shelving, plinths, low tables and racking, built to the footprint you are paying rent on.
Yes, and we install. It is about fifteen minutes from the Kilgore shop.
Pine, oak and cedar most often, and reclaimed timber when a piece calls for it.
A phone picture is plenty. We will tell you what it needs, what it will cost and roughly how long it will take — before you commit to anything.
